A moving tale about the courage it takes to be happy

She is a 70-year-old widow who finds herself taking on her son’s dog Valiente after his death. Even though she has always thought she hated animals, she discovers that she loves having a dog. Not long after, her neighborhood is evacuated due to an accident at a nearby nuclear power plant. All of the residents are forced to leave their pets behind. A few weeks later, she meets He, a divorced older man who has also lost his dog. The two end up falling for each other, but she doesn’t dare to start a new life.

On the other side of the fence, together with the rest of the dogs, Valiente is fighting for survival. They never give up. In order to move forward, She will have to learn to take things as they come, to be a little less human… and a little more canine.
