A mysterious story about creation and transcendence

A cartoonist is killed, run over by the subway, in strange circumstances. Death comes for him, but the cartoonist explains that he doesn’t quite feel like dying now that he has a wonderful comic book project, which he keeps locked in a safe in his studio.
