Many, many years ago, in a rundown basement of Valverde Street in Madrid, an aging bureaucrat unwittingly created a civilization of religious fundamentalists, peanut gatherers, and electric stove sentimentalists. In the middle of this chaos of fratricidal wars and collective hysteria arrives a character of dubious origins, unimposing figure, and few savior-like qualities: his name is Captain Torrezno.
